Overview
Lead the UX/UI design supporting the Army Unified Network Operations (UNO) web application. Enhanced and consolidated existing network operation tools into a simplified user-friendly capability, enabling signal Soldiers to plan, manage, monitor, configure, and secure the Army's unified network more effectively.
In addition to the application design, I also created the style guide, as well as an accompanying user manual to help the network planners better understand the application.

Conclusion
The Unified Network Operations (UNO) Army Planner significantly improved network operations for the U.S. Army. By addressing the challenges faced by network operations planners and working closely with users, the system streamlined processes for signal Soldiers. This enhancement enabled more effective planning, management, monitoring, configuration, and security of the Army's unified network.
UNO integrates and simplifies over 30 existing network operation tools into a user-friendly capability. This consolidation reduces complexity, improves situational awareness, and strengthens cyber network defense. The system provides a centralized management and control capability, allowing the Army to operate its networks more efficiently while enhancing security and resiliency.
Key benefits of the UNO Army Planner include:1. Improved network visibility and management2. Enhanced troubleshooting capabilities3. Increased operational efficiency4. Stronger cybersecurity measures
By addressing these critical aspects, UNO has become a foundational component of the Army's digital transformation and network modernization efforts.
“UNO enables Soldiers to sense, control, and visualize the Unified Network, from both a targeted and holistic perspective, to enable real-time assessment of impacts to joint multi-domain operations,” said Matt Maier, project manager for interoperability and integrated services (PM I2S), at the Program Executive Office Command, Control, Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T), which leads the UNO effort for the Army. “Reducing the number of network management and monitoring applications and tools results in a simplified user experience, increased situational awareness, and stronger cyber network defense.”
